About the Role

We’re working with a well-established organisation in the West Midlands that is undergoing significant <strong>change and digital transformation</strong>. They are looking to hire an experienced <strong>Business Analyst</strong> to help translate business needs into clear, deliverable requirements that drive measurable value.<br><br><strong>Location:</strong> West Midlands (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)<br><strong>Salary:</strong> Up to £40-43,500k + Bens<br><br>This role will suit someone who enjoys working across stakeholders, challenging assumptions, and supporting the delivery of complex change initiatives.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><ul><li>Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyse, prioritise, and document business requirements.</li><ul><li>Own the end-to-end requirements lifecycle, including workshops, process mapping, and validation sessions.</li><li>Capture and document <strong>As-Is and To-Be processes</strong> using industry-standard techniques (e.g. BPMN, UML) and perform gap analysis.</li><li>Produce clear and concise documentation such as requirements specifications, impact assessments, and stakeholder matrices.</li><li>Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring shared understanding and alignment.</li><li>Support Project Managers in identifying risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the delivery lifecycle.</li><li>Work alongside testing and UAT teams to define test scenarios and support business validation.</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement by challenging existing processes and recommending best-practice solutions.</li></ul></ul><br>Skills & Experience Required<br><ul><li>Working as a Business Analyst.</li><ul><li>Proven experience delivering change or transformation initiatives.</li><li>Strong analytical skills with an evidence-based approach to problem solving.</li><li>Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.</li><li>Experience working in <strong>waterfall, agile, or hybrid</strong> delivery environments.</li><li>Solid understanding of core BA practices including:</li><li>Business process modelling</li><li>Gap and root cause analysis</li></ul></ul><br>Desirable Experience<br><ul><li>Exposure to <strong>system or billing platform implementations (Ideally not essential)</strong></li><ul><li>Experience using tools such as <strong>Jira, Azure DevOps, or Power BI</strong></li><li>Understanding of APIs, system integrations, or basic SQL</li><li>BCS or IIBA accreditation, Agile certifications, or Lean Six Sigma (desirable, not essential)</li></ul></ul><br>Working Arrangements<br><ul><li>Hybrid working: <strong>4 days onsite</strong>, up to <strong>20% remote</strong></li><ul><li>Flexibility required for occasional out-of-hours work</li></ul></ul>Please share CV - matt@cactussearch.co.uk / Josh@cactussearch.co.uk
