As a Mid-Level Data Security Analyst, you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services, dedicated to safeguarding critical data and enabling secure digital growth. Your expertise will support the implementation and continuous improvement of data security controls, ensuring compliance and enhancing service delivery in a dynamic environment. Your main responsibilities:
Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and sensitive data.
Leverage data analytics tools to assess control effectiveness, identify risks, and recommend data-driven mitigation strategies.
Support the design, operationalisation, and management of Key Control Indicators (KCIs).
Collaborate with automation and metrics teams to develop dashboards and automate compliance processes, reducing manual effort.
Partner with Cloud Service Providers to evaluate data protection capabilities, identify gaps, and improve control maturity.
Review and enhance Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies aligned with current risks and business needs.
Investigate DLP incidents, perform root cause analysis, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Utilize analytical tools like Splunk, SQL, Python, and Power BI to extract and interpret large datasets.
Support process improvement initiatives to optimise service delivery and customer outcomes.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in cybersecurity or data security roles.
In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
Proficiency with risk assessments and analytical problem-solving skills.
Hands-on experience with DLP products such as Symantec DLP, McAfee CASB, or MIP data classification.
Understanding of encryption and masking controls for data at rest and in motion.
Experience with process automation and requirements gathering.
Familiarity with cloud security architectures and CSP data protection controls.
Strong skills in data analysis tools like Splunk.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
It is a strong plus if you have:
Certifications in cybersecurity or data protection.
Experience working in international or regulated environments.
Language Required for the role:
Fluent English, with excellent command.
