Junior Accountant

A well established and stable business is currently seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join their finance function as a Trainee Accounts Assistant. The successful Trainee Accounts Assistant will support across the finance function, gaining exposure to purchase ledger, sales ledger, and general accounts processes. You will assist with processing invoices, supporting reconciliations, handling queries, and providing administrative support to the wider finance team. Working within a smaller team, you will be given hands-on training and guidance, with the opportunity to develop your skills over time. This role requires someone who is quick-thinking, eager to learn, highly organised, and able to use initiative in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you will: Have some previous exposure to accountancy or finance, or demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a career in this field. Be quick to learn, adaptable, and able to pick up new systems and processes efficiently. Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to supporting the team.
