About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on designing innovative solutions for low and medium voltage switchgear, panel boards, and electrical power distribution equipment. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to work collaboratively within a project management framework. Key Responsibilities Design mechanical structures and bussing for LV and MV switchgear assemblies, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, codes, and customer specifications. Interpret customer specifications and sales agreements to develop compliant and efficient designs. Utilize 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD, PDM, and SolidWorks to create detailed designs and improve design processes. Evaluate and select mechanical components and fabrication parts, enhancing the quality and productivity of designs within budget constraints. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support product assembly, manufacturing, testing, and field service activities. Contribute to project coordination and management, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of customer orders. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to fellow engineers and designers, fostering an environment of continuous improvement. Required Skills and Experience 7+ years of experience in designing mechanical structures and bussing systems for LV and MV equipment. Proficient in using 3D design tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PDM. Strong experience in designing multi-phase and DC switchgear and panelboards. Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Proven experience in using Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications A Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred. Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is advantageous. Experience with complex, configurable, or custom-engineered products. Background in manufacturing engineering or production support is beneficial. Core Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on technical decision-making.
