Autism Support Assistant – Fareham
A specialist school in the Fareham area is seeking an Autism Support Assistant to join their team. This setting supports pupils with autism and associated communication needs, with a strong focus on structure, routine and sensory-aware learning environments.
The school is modern, well-resourced and highly organised, with clear systems in place to support both pupils and staff. Class sizes are small, and there is a strong emphasis on consistency, which is why this role is offered on a long-term basis.
You will be:
Supporting pupils within the classroom using structured approaches
Working with visual timetables, communication tools and routine-based learning
Encouraging independence and social interaction
Supporting transitions and daily routines
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a calm, structured environment and wants to develop their SEND experience further.
Role details:
Long-term role
Full-time or part-time available
Start ASAP or from May half term
£93 per day
The ideal candidate:
Has experience with autism or SEND (preferred but not essential)
Is patient, observant and consistent
Understands the importance of routine and communication strategies
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
Up-to-date safeguarding training
