Insurance Coverage Attorney

<p><strong>About the Job:</strong></p> <p>This role is in need of a highly motivated insurance coverage attorney with 4 to 5 years of experience. The company offers a supportive and congenial team environment balanced with autonomy and hands-on experience.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Research regarding coverage issues and writing coverage opinions providing legal advice to insurance clients across many different lines of liability coverage.</li> <li>Independently manage a litigation caseload for both first-party insurance disputes and coverage disputes arising from third-party liability coverage.</li> <li>Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.</li> <li>Prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, including depositions.</li> <li>Attend mediations and otherwise negotiate settlements.</li> <li>Retain and manage experts, including assisting with expert inspections and the creation of expert reports.</li> <li>Communicate with shareholders, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>4-5 years of insurance coverage experience</li> <li>Strong insurance knowledge</li> <li>Strong research and writing skills</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualification and Education Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>J.D. from an accredited law school.</li> <li>Admission to the State Bar of Texas.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience preparing insurance coverage opinions and participating in coverage litigation.</li> <li>Experience analyzing, reviewing, editing, and drafting litigation documents, as well as superior logical reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical skills.</li> <li>Must have demonstrated the ability to work with clients who demand excellence and be able to meet their expectations.</li> <li>A commitment to working ethically and always in the best interest of the client.</li> <li>Excellent work ethic, articulate, and efficient.</li> <li>Must be a self-starter and be able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li> <li>Excellent spoken and written communication.</li> </ul>
