Senior Claims Adjuster - FI & D&O

The Role
- Manage complex and high-value Financial and Specialty Markets claims efficiently, ensuring resolution in line with policy terms and the Company's Claims Philosophy
- Handle multi-jurisdictional FI and ML claims, providing a varied and technically challenging workload
- Contribute to the execution of the Claims strategy and broader business objectives
- Work closely with underwriting teams to support client retention and new business opportunities, including participation in broker and client meetings
- Investigate complex coverage issues, including those with wider market implications, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations
- Manage disputed and sensitive claims, driving commercially sound and timely outcomes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure effective claims support
- Oversee external legal counsel, reviewing and challenging advice where appropriate to shape claims strategy
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Claims Adjusters and trainees
Experience
- Experience handling FI, D&O claims from worldwide jurisdictions from a Syndicate/London Market
- Open to Solicitors with relevant experience
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams
- Highly numerate, with the ability to interpret and analyse data effectively
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage workload independently to meet deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with analytical tools such as Power BI and SQL
- Willingness to challenge existing processes and contribute to continuous improvement
- Understanding of risk, uncertainty, actuarial principles, and/or London Market claims
