Technical Manager

<p><strong>Technical Manager &#8211; Heavy Lift / Project Logistics</strong><br />Location: North East UK (Hybrid/Office-based)<br />Salary: £55,000-£70,000 DOE + Bonus + Benefits</p> <p>An established global logistics and engineering solutions provider is looking to appoint a Technical Commercial Manager to support the delivery and commercialisation of complex, engineering-led logistics projects.</p> <p>This is a key position working closely with engineering, tendering, and commercial teams to develop and sell bespoke heavy lift and out-of-gauge transport solutions across major global projects.</p> <p><strong>The Role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and present technical logistics solutions from concept through to execution</li> <li>Support tendering activity with high-quality technical and commercial proposals</li> <li>Act as the interface between engineering and commercial teams, both internally and client-facing</li> <li>Work on heavy lift, project cargo, and out-of-gauge transport solutions</li> <li>Engage with clients to present methodologies, costings, and value propositions</li> <li>Contribute to winning and delivering profitable, engineering-led contracts</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We&#8217;re Looking For:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)</li> <li>Experience in technical sales, project engineering, or commercial roles within logistics, heavy lift, or related sectors</li> <li>Strong understanding of method statements, risk assessments, and transport engineering concepts</li> <li>Ability to translate technical solutions into commercial value</li> <li>Confident client-facing communicator with strong presentation skills</li> <li>AutoCAD experience advantageous</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Apply?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work on high-value, complex global projects</li> <li>Join a business known for engineering-led logistics solutions</li> <li>Opportunity to influence projects from early concept and FEED stages</li> <li>Strong collaboration across international teams</li> </ul> <p>WR Engineering are the #1 recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing &amp; technical sales jobs.
