Role: Children’s Service Director / Head of Care
Location: Midlands-based role covering Staffordshire and Nottinghamshire

OVERVIEW
We have been engaged by an established and expanding care group to support the appointment of a Children’s Service Director (Head of Care) to play a key role in the growth of their Children’s Division.
This is a senior, strategic leadership position overseeing multiple children’s homes across the Midlands, with a particular focus on Staffordshire and Nottinghamshire. The role will be supported by a highly experienced Responsible Individual and an existing Head of Children’s Services, forming a strong senior leadership structure.
With 28 homes already operating across the wider group, this is an exciting opportunity to join the organisation at a pivotal point of expansion and to influence standards, outcomes, and future growth.
KEY FOCUS OF THE ROLE
Strategic oversight of multiple children’s residential services
Driving and maintaining Good and Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
Supporting and developing Registered Managers and senior leadership teams
Ensuring regulatory compliance and best practice across services
Embedding strong quality assurance, safeguarding, and performance frameworks
Contributing to the ongoing expansion and long-term vision of the Children’s Division
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We are seeking a senior leader who can demonstrate:
A strong track record of Good and Outstanding Ofsted inspection outcomes
Experience at Head of Care, Service Director, Regional Manager, or equivalent senior level
Deep understanding of children’s residential care regulations and quality standards
The ability to lead, influence, and support managers across multiple sites
A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, supportive leadership style
