Role: Children’s Service Director / Head of Care Location: Midlands-based role covering Staffordshire and Nottinghamshire Type: Senior Leadership | Children’s Residential Services OVERVIEW We have been engaged by an established and expanding care group to support the appointment of a Children’s Service Director (Head of Care) to play a key role in the growth of their Children’s Division. This is a senior, strategic leadership position overseeing multiple children’s homes across the Midlands, with a particular focus on Staffordshire and Nottinghamshire. The role will be supported by a highly experienced Responsible Individual and an existing Head of Children’s Services, forming a strong senior leadership structure. With 28 homes already operating across the wider group, this is an exciting opportunity to join the organisation at a pivotal point of expansion and to influence standards, outcomes, and future growth. KEY FOCUS OF THE ROLE Strategic oversight of multiple children’s residential services Driving and maintaining Good and Outstanding Ofsted outcomes Supporting and developing Registered Managers and senior leadership teams Ensuring regulatory compliance and best practice across services Embedding strong quality assurance, safeguarding, and performance frameworks Contributing to the ongoing expansion and long-term vision of the Children’s Division CANDIDATE PROFILE We are seeking a senior leader who can demonstrate: A strong track record of Good and Outstanding Ofsted inspection outcomes Experience at Head of Care, Service Director, Regional Manager, or equivalent senior level Deep understanding of children’s residential care regulations and quality standards The ability to lead, influence, and support managers across multiple sites A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, supportive leadership style PACKAGE & PROGRESSION Highly competitive salary (discussed on a confidential basis) Significant scope for career progression and long-term growth within a large, ambitious group Opportunity to help shape and expand a growing Children’s Division ADDITIONAL NOTES The client is also open to conversations with high-performing Registered Managers who may be looking to step into a more senior, strategic role as part of the organisation’s growth journey.
