About the Role
Location: Medical Center - Fort Worth Department: Psychiatry Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 12 Summary: Provides intake assessments in the Emergency Department and over the phone to determine appropriate level of care and treatment. Provides family assessments, family therapy, crisis intervention, and telephone triage for psychiatric inpatients, PHP, ER, and discharged patients. Participates in group therapy, multi-disciplinary treatment, diagnostic conferences, and diagnostic interviews. Provides case management services for all patients. Manages patients mental health benefits, and keeps informed of all information regarding the patients treatment and their payor. Available for Intake on-call on as needed basis. Qualifications: Master's level in Social Work or related field Experience in family therapy Hospital experience preferred Pediatric experience preferred Child growth and development education required Licensed by State of Texas: LMSW, LCSW or LPC2 CPR Heartsaver within 60 days of start date CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Childrens Control Position from Unit 8 within 60 days of start date Qualified as a QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) by the Texas Department of Health About Us: Cook Children's Medical Center is the cornerstone of Cook Children's, and offers advanced technologies, research and treatments, surgery, rehabilitation and ancillary services all designed to meet children's needs.
