Maths Teacher Northampton

About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Northampton area on a full-time, long-term basis, starting September 2026. Shortlisting is currently underway for this exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive and forward-thinking school that was recently graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted across all areas. The school prides itself on providing a collaborative environment where staff are encouraged to develop professionally, build on their existing strengths, and make a lasting impact on students’ academic success and future aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, with full classroom responsibilities.
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum.
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations, including regular assessments and mock exams.
• Monitor, assess and report on student progress.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners, including students with SEN where required (desirable but not essential).
• Contribute positively to the wider school community.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and KS4.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
• Two recent education or school-based references.
• A passion for delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring young people to achieve their full potential.
