About the Role

Overview:
Experienced Production Manager to lead operations at an aggregates quarry.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and enforce a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with MSHA regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with plant construction, commissioning, and operational start-up activities.
  • Develop and execute production plans designed to achieve phased growth targets of up to 4 million tons per year (TPY).
  • Oversee daily production operations to meet throughput, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and optimize maintenance schedules for both fixed plant assets and mobile equipment to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.
  • Lead, train, mentor, and develop production and maintenance personnel as the operation continues to expand.
  • Monitor key plant performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  • Coordinate drilling, blasting, crushing, screening, and load-out activities to maintain consistent material flow throughout the operation.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of safety incidents, production metrics, and maintenance activities.
  • Partner with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and capital improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental regulations and uphold company operating standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in aggregate, mining, or quarry operations.
  • Experience with plant start-up, expansion, or greenfield projects strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage or scale high-volume production operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of MSHA regulations and safety programs.
  • Experience with crushing plants, conveyors, screening systems, and heavy equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage maintenance planning and coordinate with maintenance teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with production tracking and maintenance management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Background in cost control, budgeting, and capital project coordination.
