About the Role
About the role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 3/4 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Nelson starting in September . This is a full-time, temporary position to cover a maternity leave , offering a fantastic opportunity to support and inspire pupils within a Key Stage 2 setting. The successful candidate will join a supportive and inclusive school community that is dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment where all pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential and develop confidence in their abilities. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons for a Year 3/4 class in line with the National Curriculum. Create a positive, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high standards of learning and behaviour. Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs. Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues. Contribute to the wider school community and support the school’s ethos and values. Pre-requisites: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Proven experience of teaching within Key Stage 2. Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum and assessment requirements. An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one. Two education or school-based references. Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
