About the Role
KL Talent Solutions are recruiting for a Management Accountant to support our clients finance team following significant growth over the last 5 years with further growth planned in the future. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant will be a key person in the finance team, responsible for producing accurate financial accounts, forecasts, budgets and analysis which will be used both internally and externally. You will be responsible for: - Developing financial analysis and reporting, including standardising or automating existing reporting - Monitoring and controlling key WIP / Raw Material stocks - Owning and generating financial accounts package for a number of sites / business units, including preparation of management reports, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory accounts and fixed asset register controls - Monitor and reporting on the financial performance of separate business units, including working with the factory management to improve cost / utilisation performance - Ensuring compliance with accounting standards - Systems and controls required to produce accurate financial information - Preparing ad-hoc reports as required by Finance and Business management The above is not an exhaustive list and you will be required to support the business as required. Candidate Requirements - Qualified Accountant or actively working towards qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent). - Self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative. - Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities whilst still working to a high level of detail. - Take ownership and see tasks through from start to finish. - Excellent Microsoft Excel skills. - Strong analytical skills. - Be adaptable, flexible and inquisitive. - Show desire to review and improve existing processes. - Strong personality to be able to challenge operations. - Minimum 2 years working experience in a manufacturing environment. Highly Desirable: - SAGE knowledge - Working in a metal and/or machining-based busines Please note this role will include travel to Teesside 3-5 days per month ( If working away travel time will be accommodated into hours i.e leaving at 3.00 from Teesside to get to Sheffield and the client does provide a pool car to go between sites but if preferred they can pay milage allowance).
