About the Role
Samuel Frank is recruiting for a mechanically biased Service Engineer to join a special purpose machine manufacturer based in West Yorkshire.
Key aspects of the Field Service Engineer role include –
The company is easily commutable from large parts of West Yorkshire including places such as Leeds, Bradford, Keighley, Ilkley, Skipton, Shipley, Halifax and Otley – when the successful Service Engineer isn’t out on customer sites, they’ll be based on the shop floor in West Yorkshire
Service Engineers applying are likely to be mechanically biased, with some electrical appreciation/knowledge
As a guide – Service Engineers could expect to be working away for 2-3 nights a week, for approximately 3 weeks out of 4. Usually, the service work is planned in advance, so you’ll know when you’re going and for how long
Initially, as you build your knowledge of the machines, your time will be more weighted to being on the shop floor in West Yorkshire
You’ll be doing inspections on site, carry out surveys and maintain service stock
Knowledge of working in food factory environments – strongly preferred
Hours worked over and above the standard 37.3/week are paid overtime
IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent H&S Qualification – ideal
Full UK driving licence – essential
