Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Preston

About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, who is looking for a long term role in a Primary school in the Preston area on a full time basis. The role is set to commence in September 2026, with shortlisting currently underway.

A well-established primary school with a strong focus on developing confident, resilient learners. Staff work collaboratively to provide engaging and enriching educational experiences.

Key Skills and Attributes:

• Support learning across the primary curriculum
• Work with small groups and individual pupils
• Assist with classroom preparation
• Help monitor pupil progress
• Support literacy and numeracy activities
• Encourage positive behaviour
• Build positive relationships with pupils
• Support pupils with additional needs
• Assist during break and lunch duties
• Follow school safeguarding policies

Pre-requisites:

• Previous UK primary school experience
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Enhanced DBS on the update service preferred
