About the Role
Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is searching for an HR Generalist for our Fort Pierce, FL plant. As an HR Generalist, you will provide customer focused HR programs, services and consultation to enhance individual, team, management and business performance consistent with Meyer Utility Structures’ values, philosophies, policies and programs. You will also be tasked with duties typically associated with managing an office environment.
Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of concrete, lattice, and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications. With over sixty years of innovative engineering and manufacturing expertise, Meyer has helped to author and validate many of today’s transmission industry standards and specifications.
What You’ll Do:
Provide employees and managers a centralized Human Resources service center for first tier questions and inquiries spanning from benefits and human resources policies
Some duties will include (but are not limited to) assistance in the escalation of employee grievance issues, policy/guideline interpretation, implementation of business events, workforce balancing, and new employee orientation
Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy and data privacy/security processes are in place
Complete HR projects within the plant and business unit
Answer employee and management questions regarding policies, processes and other HR related matters following prescribed responses
Implement and maintain departmental procedures
Enroll employees into programs, process new hires and benefits paperwork
Provide general administrative support to daily departmental operations as assigned and training programs or sessions
Assist management with the process and tracking of information in support of policies and benefits such as Leaves of Absence, FMLA, Worker’s Compensation and other leave issues
Assist management with employee retention initiatives
May participate in confidential investigations of complex employee relations issues
Could prepare and represent organization at unemployment hearings
Other duties as assigned, which could be administrative in nature
What You’ll Need:
Three (3) years’ experience working in an HR environment and/or Degree in Human Resources
Must be able to maintain a high-level confidentiality and maintain accurate and complete records
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
Familiarity with UltiPro/UKG is preferred, but not required
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment and assess priorities required
Excellent written and oral communication skills including strong proofreading and presentation skills
