We are currently seeking a <strong>Warehouse/Commissary Worker</strong> who has a passion for providing the highest quality care in an institutional, secure setting. Come join a team that is dedicated to making an impact for the people and communities we serve. </font></p><p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: left;"><font size="3"><font style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"> </font><span style="text-align: justify; font-family: "Times New Roman";">The Warehouse/Commissary Worker assists with all aspects of the warehouse and/or commissary functions, to include working with and directing teams of inmate/resident workers.  Receives, stores and inventories stock, supplies and equipment utilized in the on-going operation of the commissary and for general facility operations.</span></font></p><ul><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><font size="3" style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Under the direction of the supervisor, performs accurate and timely receipt, routing and storage of goods and cleaning chemicals received in accordance with appropriate sanitation standards and applicable codes.  Prepares materials for shipment, as required.</font></li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><font size="3" style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Conducts commissary sales transactions, processing inmate/resident order forms, performs data entry, verifies and delivers pulled orders to the appropriate inmate. </font></li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><font size="3" style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Maintains up-to-date facility and warehouse inventories of all furniture, equipment and supplies.  Monitors commissary goods for sale, to sustain minimum and maximum inventory levels as necessary.</font></li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><font size="3" style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Accurately and timely prepares a variety of records and reports as required.  Creates and maintains files in an organized manner, to include sorting, labeling, filing and retrieving.  Maintains confidentiality and security of records.</font></li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><font size="3" style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Communicates effectively with administration, staff, inmates/residents, and visitors, particularly in situations requiring tact, diplomacy, understanding, fairness, firmness and good judgment.  This includes giving information, instructions and directions in accordance with policy and procedure.</font></li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><font size="3" style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Conducts counts of inmates/residents working in the area, controlling access to equipment and supplies, and controlling the introduction of contraband items into the facility living areas through proper search procedures. </font></li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><font size="3" style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Provides supervision and direction for assigned inmates/residents in the performance of their duties.  Escorts inmates/residents or coordinates the movement of inmates/residents to and from different areas.</font></li></ul></font></span></p><p style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;"><span style="color: black; font-family: "Times New Roman";"><span style="color: black;"><span style="color: black;"><font size="3"><p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><font size="3"><strong>Qualifications: </strong></font></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><font size="3"> <span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 12pt;">High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required.<span></span></span></font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><font size="3"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span> </span>One year of experience in warehouse/commissary operation, including the physical control and movement of inventory is preferred.<span></span></span></font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><font size="3"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span> </span>Must be able to operate hand truck, forklift and/or pallet jacks.<span>  </span></span></font></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><font size="3"> </font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><font size="3">Minimum age requirement:  Must be at least 21 years of age. </font></span></li></ul><p style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><i><span style="color: black;"><font size="3">CoreCivic is a Drug-Free Workplace and EOE – including Disability/Veteran.</font></span></i></span></p></font></span></span></span></p>
