This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced, forward thinking food business in Cheshire as a Trainee Development Chef . Working within a group environment, you’ll gain exposure to different products, teams, and sites, giving you the chance to build your skills and develop a career in food manufacturing. The Role As a Trainee Development Chef , you’ll support the development of innovative food products that go onto supermarket shelves. Working alongside Development, NPD, Commercial, and Category teams, you’ll be involved from concept through to launch. Key Responsibilities Supporting product development across multiple categories Assisting with customer briefs and concept creation Helping take products from kitchen concept to scaled production Working with technical, procurement, finance, and commercial teams Keeping up to date with food trends, ingredients, and innovation Supporting presentations, tastings, and product launches About You You may have a culinary background, some food industry experience, or simply a strong passion for food and innovation. You will likely: Have a genuine interest in food and product development Want to build a career in food manufacturing Be organised and comfortable managing multiple projects Enjoy working with different teams and product categories Have an interest in food trends and consumer products The Opportunity This role offers more than just an entry point into NPD.
