Senior Aerospace Test Engineer

Position Title: Senior Aerospace Test Engineer Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct-hire Senior Aerospace Test Engineer opportunity. Job Responsibilities: The Senior Aerospace Test Engineer will lead advanced aerospace experimentation efforts. They will be responsible for the definition and oversight of ground and flight aerodynamics experimentation including subscale wind tunnel testing, high-enthalpy tunnel testing, full-scale vehicle wind tunnel testing, and captive-carry sounding rocket experimentation. Further, the engineer will aid in defining objectives, mission requirements, vehicle configurations, instrumentation, and data acquisition requirements for ground and flight testing. The successful candidate will aid in defining objectives, mission requirements, vehicle configurations, instrumentation, and data acquisition requirements for full-scale flight demonstrations. Direct experience in supersonic and hypersonic flight and ground experimentation is required. Job Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant aerospace experimentation Direct experience in supersonic and hypersonic flight and ground experimentation Direct experience with relevant test facilities such as wind tunnels Direct experience with complex aerospace test campaigns including test definition, setup, and execution. Comprehensive expertise in aerospace test instrumentation and data acquisition Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Job Details: Job Type: Direct Hire Salary Rate Range: $153,000-$200,000. Location: Onsite - Washington, DC - Naval Research Laboratory (onsite) Required US Citizen and Active Secret clearance required with ability to obtain TS/SCI..
