Location: Chicago, IL – Near West Garfield Park
Employer: Express Employment Professionals
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $24–$28/hour (approximately $50,000–$58,000 annually)

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking two dependable and professional Assistant Property Managers to support residential property operations for a client located in the Near West Garfield Park area of Chicago. These are excellent temp-to-hire opportunities for candidates with strong customer service, administrative, and organizational skills who enjoy working directly with residents, vendors, and property management teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Support Property Managers in day-to-day operations and tenant communication
  • Respond to tenant inquiries, maintenance requests, and resident concerns
  • Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and property inspections
  • Assist with lease renewals, rent collection, and enforcing lease terms
  • Help prepare property budgets, reports, and financial documentation
  • Maintain accurate tenant records, files, and property documentation
  • Advertise vacancies, schedule showings, and assist with tenant screening
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff and vendors to help ensure properties remain well maintained and operational

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Property Manager, Leasing Assistant, or in a similar administrative/property management role preferred
  • Knowledge of leasing practices, property operations, and general real estate procedures preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with AppFolio or similar property management software is a plus
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Professional demeanor and attention to detail
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
