About the Role
BrainRocket s looking for dedicated Data Protection Officer. As the business is growing and expanding into regulated markets, we are building a strong compliance team to support this growth. We are now looking for a data protection specialist to be part of the team.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with data protection queries, preferably a minimum of one years' experience within a compliance environment, as well as working within the iGaming industry. Experience working with the Maltese, Swedish, Danish, Italian, Romanian, Greek, Portuguese or Spanish regulatory framework is considered an asset.
Responsibilities:
Act as a Data Protection officer, and liaise with authorities, third parties, and customers on compliance and data protection matters.
Serve as a point of contact within the organisation for staff members, regulators, and relevant public authorities on issues related to data protection
Manage policies, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other codes of practice.
Assess and rectify non-compliance areas in the compliance and data protection framework.
Collaborate with IT for data retention and handling of potential data breaches and reporting.
Risk assessment of new projects, agreements, performing DPIAs. Drafting and reviewing DPAs
Ensuring compliance in relation to customer and employee data, including data subject access requests and data deletion requests, other subject rights
Analyse local and cross-border data transfer regulations.
Conduct periodic audits and manage Data Processing Inventory.
Stay updated on compliance requirements, exploring new markets and licenses.
Support compliance controls, regulatory reporting, and improvement plans.
Deliver training across all business units to staff members on compliance and data protection.
Assist compliance team with ongoing compliance projects
