With a strong track record of growth, ongoing expansion through acquisitions, and a reputation for delivering high-quality work across the UK and beyond, this is a business that continues to go from strength to strength. This is a standout opportunity to join a market-leading, innovative business with a strong reputation and clear growth trajectory, offering real long-term career prospects. You’ll be joining a highly regarded regional team based in Somerset, working in a collaborative and supportive environment. As part of the Southwest team, you’ll also feed into the wider group structure, giving you exposure to broader strategic operations and future career progression. They are looking for someone who can wear multiple hats—combining commercial expertise with operational awareness—while also bringing the right personality to fit into a close-knit and high-performing team. The business offers excellent benefits including a bonus scheme, pension, healthcare cash plan, and flexibility around a car allowance. The role is Monday to Friday, with a hybrid split of around three days in the office and some regional travel. The Role As Commercial Framework Manager, you will take a lead role in delivering key long-term highway and infrastructure contracts. You will provide commercial support and guidance to an experienced team, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a stable environment, take ownership, and add value while supporting an already well-functioning team. You’ll also play a key role in shaping the future of the region, contributing to longer-term growth and strategy. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of framework contracts from planning through to completion and handover
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Oversee programme planning, resource allocation, and project delivery
  • Provide overall contract leadership, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Ensure health & safety compliance, including risk assessments and adherence to regulations
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including sourcing, appointment, and performance
  • Handle commercial responsibilities including reporting, cost control, and general administration
  • Support data management and ensure accurate project and commercial reporting
  • Contribute to the wider business strategy and long-term growth plans
Skills & Experience Required The successful candidate will demonstrate:
  • A strong commercial background, ideally within highways, infrastructure, or a related sector
  • An operational mindset with the ability to balance strategy and hands-on delivery
  • Confidence in client-facing situations and stakeholder management
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Experience managing programmes, subcontractors, and supply chains
  • Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements
  • The ability to think long-term and contribute to business growth and vision
  • A personable, approachable attitude with the ability to integrate into an established team
