This past November, women leaders from our company attended Corporate Salute in Boston, hosted by The Boston Club. Our leaders made the trek to Boston from Barton offices in Keene, Windsor, Worcester, and Peabody to celebrate the occasion.
Since 2003, The Boston Club has published the Census of Women Directors and Executive Officers in Massachusetts’ Public Companies, an annual report on the diversity of Massachuett’s 100 largest public companies. The inaugural report in 2003 revealed that just 9% of board seats were held by women. This year, on the 20th anniversary, that number has increased to 30%. For Barton Associates, the number is even higher: though sales is often considered a male-dominated field, over half of our managers are women.
As a leading healthcare staffing company Barton serves a unique market. Our focus is on locum tenens staffing, but we have additional capabilities in travel nursing, allied healthcare, and government-related medical staffing. Healthcare providers come from all walks of life, and having a diverse staff has proven effective in serving our diverse clientele. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and experience levels and provide hands-on training to ensure every hire gets the chance to excel.
