General Purpose
The Fox Valley Compliance Manager will be responsible for standardizing and maintaining compliance systems, ensuring audit readiness, and driving corrective and preventive actions. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for audits and will align internal processes to reduce risk, improve consistency, and strengthen customer confidence.
Essential Duties and Tasks
Maintain and oversee compliance with ISO 9001 and SQF standards across Fox Valley sites
Ensure alignment and standardization of procedures, documentation, and execution
Lead internal audits and ensure continuous certification readiness
Complete and submit customer-required surveys
Ensure internal procedures align with customer requirements
Serve as the primary coordinator for customer and third-party audits
Lead audit preparation, on-site support, and post-audit follow-up
Standardize audit processes and communication across Fox Valley sites
Own and manage corrective actions from internal, customer, and third-party audits
Ensure timely root cause analysis, implementation, and verification of effectiveness
Establish accountability and follow-up processes across sites
Standardize and oversee COA generation, review, and accuracy
Ensure compliance with customer-specific documentation requirements
Improve traceability, data integrity, and response times
Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements (food safety, packaging, etc.)
Maintain and update quality and compliance policies
Monitor regulatory changes and communicate impacts to site leadership
Conduct gap analyses to ensure compliance with food safety and certification standards
Conduct corporate gap and compliance audits as needed – travel required
Support site-level improvements and audit readiness
Support corporate wide improvements and audit readiness
Visit customers and suppliers when necessary.
Responsible for all activities associated with internal and external audits.
Monitor site quality and food safety metrics and develop counter measures as needed.
Work with manufacturing to ensure product conformance through documented process monitoring and process controls methods.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
BS Degree (preferred in technical area) plus five (5) years of leadership experience in Quality/Manufacturing or ten (10) years of relevant experience
Comprehensive knowledge of concepts and principles. Prior audit experience and knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP, GFSI required
Strong data management skills preferred.
Demonstrated understanding of fact-based decision-making and analytical processes related to quality management and process improvement.
Effective coaching, training and facilitating experience.
Solid working knowledge of quality processes and related manufacturing
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams, and Outlook
Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
