Senior Data Scientist, Synthetic Data and GenAI
Fully Remote, UK. Salary up to £98,000This is a rare opportunity to help shape a brand new synthetic data capability at a critical point of growth. You will join a newly formed team focused on applying Generative AI and LLMs to real world market research problems, with genuine ownership, autonomy, and visibility across product, engineering, and clients.

The Role
You will play a key role in building and deploying AI powered synthetic data products, working end to end from problem definition through to production and client adoption.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, validating, and deploying LLM based synthetic data models
- Generating synthetic survey responses across open text and structured formats
- Building systems that augment real respondent data while preserving statistical integrity
- Partnering closely with Engineering and Product to productionise models
- Explaining and defending methodologies to non technical and client facing stakeholders
- Strong commercial experience applying Generative AI and LLMs in production environments
- Solid NLP capability across text generation, analysis, and augmentation
- Strong grounding in statistics and experimental design, with a clear approach to validation
- Expert level Python and strong SQL skills
- Confidence working with large, complex datasets and collaborating with engineering teams
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non technical audiences

Your Skills & Experience
- Strong experience building and deploying generative AI or conversational AI solutions in production environments.
- Hands-on expertise with GCP, particularly Vertex AI, Dialogflow, and related services.
- Proven capability designing complex dialogue flows that adapt to user intent and context.
- Experience integrating LLMs with structured product or inventory data for recommendation use cases.
