The Role
As a UK Workday Payroll Consultant, you will play a critical role in delivering end-to-end Workday Payroll implementations for our diverse client base across the UK. You will leverage your deep expertise in Workday Payroll and UK specific regulations to design, configure, and deploy solutions that meet complex business requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Solution Design & Architecture: Designing and architecting Workday UK Payroll solutions, translating complex business requirements into effective system configurations and producing detailed UK payroll process designs.
* End-to-End Project Delivery: Leading and participating in all phases of the Workday UK Payroll implementation lifecycle, from discovery and design to configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
* Subject Matter Expertise: Acting as the primary Workday UK Payroll subject matter expert, providing guidance on best practices, functionality, and regulatory compliance.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all Workday Payroll configurations and processes adhere strictly to UK payroll legislation, tax regulations (PAYE, National Insurance), statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, ShPP, SAP), and other relevant compliance standards.
* Client Relationship Management: Developing and nurturing strong client relationships, influencing stakeholders and sponsors across all levels of seniority, from middle management to board level.
Your Experience & Skills
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Workday UK Payroll Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with Workday Payroll, specifically within the UK market, including configuration, testing, and deployment.
* End-to-End Project Experience: A proven track record of delivering multiple end-to-end Workday UK Payroll implementation projects.
* UK Payroll Regulations: Deep and current understanding of UK payroll legislation, tax frameworks, statutory payments, and compliance requirements.
* Certification: Workday Payroll certified (or equivalent demonstrable expertise with a strong commitment to achieving certification). UK Payroll certification
* Client-Facing Acumen: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with clients at all organisational levels.
* Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex payroll issues and propose effective solutions.
* Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a project team, potentially managing small to medium-sized workstreams or mentoring junior colleagues.
* Adaptability: A proactive and adaptable approach, comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting environment.
