Occupational Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)

Fort Collins, Colorado • Locum Tenens • Outpatient Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care

Diagnose and treat workplace injuries • Conduct physicals including pre-placement DOT exams • Manage episodic urgent care patients • Perform in-office procedures • Communicate treatment and return-to-work plans • Maintain timely clinical documentation • Exhibit respectful behaviors aligned with Orange Book standards

Opportunity Details

  • Location: 620 South Lemay Avenue, Fort Collins, CO 80524
  • Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
  • Setting: Outpatient occupational medicine and urgent care clinics in private and government sectors
  • Schedule & coverage: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; no overnight call; full-time outpatient schedule
  • Coverage Dates: June 1, 2026, through August 28, 2026
  • Provider to obtain DOT certification prior to first shift
  • Travel and lodging support included

Schedule Details

  • Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • No overnight or holiday coverage expected
  • Ongoing weekly coverage

Clinical Scope

  • Diagnose and treat work-related injuries
  • Conduct pre-placement physicals including DOT, public safety, and surveillance exams
  • Evaluate and treat urgent care walk-in patients
  • Perform routine in-office procedures
  • Communicate with employers regarding treatment and return-to-work decisions
  • Ensure compliance with Orange Book standards
  • Document all patient care promptly and accurately

Practice Environment

  • Outpatient occupational medicine and urgent care setting
  • Supportive provider team structure with scheduled visits and walk-in patients
  • Patient volume expectations and workflow details to be confirmed

Requirements

  • Active Colorado Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • Unrestricted DEA registration
  • BLS certification; ACLS preferred
  • DOT Medical Examiner Certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Experience in Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine preferred
  • Ability to treat patients of all ages with procedural skills
