As a Year 5 Teacher, you will play a vital role in preparing pupils for the transition into upper Key Stage 2, helping to build confidence, independence, and a strong foundation for future success.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum. You will create a stimulating classroom environment that fosters curiosity and a love of learning, while ensuring that all pupils are supported and challenged appropriately.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to a range of abilities
Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using data to inform teaching
Provide clear and constructive feedback to support pupil development
Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
Maintain a positive, safe, and well-managed classroom environment
Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional wellbeing
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership teams
Build strong relationships with parents and carers
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience teaching in UK primary schools (essential)
Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
A valid DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (essential)
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to teaching
