The Licensed Assistant will work under the general direction of the ACM/CM or his/her designee<h2>Your Impact: </h2>Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): <ul><li style="margin-left: 39.0pt;">Assist practitioners with patient care.</li><li style="margin-left: 39.0pt;">Prepare a room and patient for treatment, make and modify molds, perform technical fabrication, and complete administrative tasks.</li><li style="margin-left: 39.0pt;">Complete and maintain accurate documentation of patient care provided.</li><li style="margin-left: 39.0pt;">Evaluate selected orthotic and prosthetic needs of patients, measure, cast, fit, and adjust devices.</li><li style="margin-left: 39.0pt;">Perform selected patient care procedures..</li><li style="margin-left: 39.0pt;">Provide alterations to the fitting of orthotic and prosthetic devices.</li><li style="margin-left: 39.0pt;">Provide patient follow-up for selected orthotic and prosthetic patients.</li><li style="margin-left: 39.0pt;">Perform shipping, receiving, and monitoring of inventory and other clerical tasks.</li><li style="margin-left: 39.0pt;">Contact vendors to order prosthetic and orthotic materials</li></ul> Additional Responsibilities:<ul><li>Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment.</li><li>Adhere to all safety regulations; compliance with Medicare and other governmental regulations; compliance with blood borne and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.</li><li>Assistants who have obtained professional licensure (Orthotic Fitter/Prosthetic Assistant) and received supplemental internal training may be asked to support the provision of hospital based post-operative care.</li></ul><h2>Minimum Qualifications:</h2> <ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required</li><li>ABC Assistant licensure in orthotics, prosthetics, or both.</li><li style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures. </li></ul><h2>Additional Success Factors:</h2><ul><li>Willingness to consult certified clinician during patient care, as needed </li><li>Ability to follow written and verbal directions.</li><li>Hand skills necessary to use laboratory tools safely and effectively.</li><li>Knowledge of biomechanical principles.</li><li>Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills for reporting information to patient and staff.</li><li>Effective organizational skills and ability to prioritize and plan for the purpose of meeting deadlines.</li><li>Act with integrity in all ways and at all times, remaining honest, transparent, and respectful in all relationships.</li><li>Keep the patient at the center of everything that you do, building lifelong trust.</li><li>Foster open collaboration and constructive dialogue with everyone around you.</li><li>Continuously innovate new solutions, influencing and responding to change.</li><li>Focus on superior outcomes, and calibrate work processes for outstanding results.</li></ul><h2>Our Investment In You:</h2><ul><li>Competitive Compensation Packages</li><li>8 Paid National Holidays & 4 additional Floating Holidays</li><li>PTO that includes Vacation and Sick time</li><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits</li><li>401k Savings and Retirement Plan</li><li>Paid Parental Bonding Leave for New Parents</li><li>Flexible Work Schedules and Part-time Opportunities</li><li>Generous Employee Referral Bonus Program</li><li>Mentorship Programs- Mentor and Mentee</li><li>Student Loan Repayment Assistance by Location</li><li>Relocation Assistance</li><li>Regional & National traveling CPO/CO/CP opportunities</li><li>Volunteering for Local and National events such as Hanger’s BAKA Bootcamp and EmpowerFest</li></ul> Hanger, Inc. is committed to providing equal employment opportunity in all aspects of the employer-employee relationship.
