Our Utilities client is seeking a Junior Buyer in Edmonton with strong Excel/Power Bi skills.
The role will involve monitoring and extending expiring contracts, implementing contractor contracts, overseeing supplier implementation of reporting software and other administrative duties.
Must Haves:
- 2-5 years of experience with purchasing and contract experience within a supply chain environment
- Strong Excel / Power Bi Skills
- Experience facilitating execution of new & existing contracts, addendums and other documents requiring internal & external approvals
- Experience supporting RFx process with review and issuance of RFx documents (EOI, RFI, RFx), clarifications, including post bid and BAFO
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Nice to Haves:
- Utilities industry experience
- Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems
- Experience with Pehta LP software
- Experience onboarding new vendors in Oracle and Avetta
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the execution of new & existing contracts, addendums and other documents requiring internal & external approvals
- Support RFx process with review and issuance of RFx documents (EOI, RFI, RFx), clarifications, including post bid and BAFO, track and follow-up as required
- Collaborate with and support SCM, vendors and suppliers in managing Purchase Orders and RFx processes
- Complete monthly and quarterly reports as required
- Maintain appropriate records related to SCM activities
- Assist with onboarding of new vendors in Oracle and Avetta
