About the Role
Join our dynamic Early Help and Prevention Team in Portsmouth as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) and play a vital role in supporting families and children in need. We are seeking a dedicated professional who is passionate about making a difference in the community. In this position, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to deliver early intervention services that promote the well-being and safety of children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
Developing and implementing tailored support plans in partnership with families.
Providing advice, guidance, and support to families and professionals.
Monitoring and reviewing progress to ensure effective service delivery.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with policy and legislation.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
Registration with Social Work England.
Experience in working with children and families, particularly in early help or preventative services.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and stakeholders.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
