<p><strong><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Role Summary</span></strong> <br /><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">The Field Safety Officer is required to provide field safety support for their assigned area of responsibility, taking necessary measures when appropriate to mitigate, mentor and escalate to ensure safety is always a priority and process/procedures are followed. We anticipate this role will involve a minimum of 70% spent in the field.</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Role and Responsibilities <br /></span></strong> <span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Project Execution</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Build on working relationship with Client & DPS Team, ensuring all personnel comply with project EHS</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ensure all legislative requirements are met and that all DPS/Client EHS policies and procedures are adequately implemented and enforced.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Provide coaching/mentoring to any/all contractors/vendors and their management</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Provide EHS support to all functional areas and PIT’s as and when required.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Attending/Host various meetings including Project Steering | EHS | PIT | All Hands</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Field Assessments</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Execute Daily SPA audits and SBO’s | Weekly impact mitigation compliance audits.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Execute weekly project compliance audit, provide feedback to trades/vendors, and drive issues to closure.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Assist in trade waste and environmental queries and monitor compliance with waste segregation requirements.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Perform field evaluation of any task/ equipment as requested</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Review and approve eSIPPS as required.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Support field evaluations of proposed alternative means and methods for performing work (any deviations to Intel requirements)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Review compliance with Permit to Work and all associated task-specific Permits.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Injury Free Workplace (IFW)</span></p>

<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ensure timely reporting of all incidents, accidents, ITP’s and near misses.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Integrated member for incident investigation and AAR’s</span></li>

<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">EHS Indicators</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ensure both leading and lagging performance indicators are in place, tracked, and used to effectively manage performance trends.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Capable of evaluating current performance indicators and implementing corrective actions, as necessary, to ensure project performance improvements.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Develop daily SMBWA schedule, collate results and drive issues to closure.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Active user of ConstructSecure software</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Training</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Develop and deliver EHS training material as required by project need to ensure all trade/vendors and management personnel are adequately aware of all safety requirements and performance expectations.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintain training matrix and monitor compliance.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Attend professional development events and stay current with best practices and the latest software technology.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva"><strong>Education & Experience:</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Third Level in Occupational Health & Safety</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar role, ideally with a background in the construction industry</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Experience in environmental work and relevant memberships an advantage e.g. IOSH</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Previous experience in Project Supervisor Design Process / Project Supervisor Construction Stage advantageous</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Thorough knowledge of current environmental health and safety legislation.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Advanced Microsoft packages including Word/ Excel/PowerPoint.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong organisational and multitasking skills, attention to detail, and reporting skills.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Flexibility to work in an environment of multiple projects and varying workloads.</span></li>
