Residential Deputy Manager - Preston

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to join a supportive children’s residential setting in the Preston area on a long-term basis.

This full-time position is due to start as soon as possible, with applicants currently being shortlisted. The service is committed to providing a safe, nurturing and child-centred environment where young people are supported to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and motivating staff to provide outstanding support for children and young people
• Overseeing care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
• Building positive relationships with young people, families, social workers and other professionals to promote positive outcomes

Pre-requisites:

• Previous experience working within a children’s residential care setting in a senior or leadership capacity
• Experience supporting staff development, supervision and performance management
• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
• A flexible approach to working a 40-hour week, including shifts, evenings and weekends where required
