​FLT Drivers / General Warehouse Operatives

MAK Jobs is recruiting on behalf of our client for motivated FLT Drivers / General Warehouse Operatives to join a busy warehouse operation in Daventry. This is an excellent temporary-to-permanent opportunity for reliable candidates looking for a stable role with progression potential.

Role Overview

The successful candidates will undertake a variety of warehouse duties, including order picking, packing, goods receiving, and general housekeeping. The role involves a significant amount of walking and occasional manual handling of boxes weighing up to 25kg.

Location: Daventry

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - 09:00 – 17:30

Salary:

•  £13.20 per hour / increasing to £13.86 after a probation period.

•  Overtime & Saturdays: £19.23 per hour, rising to £20.13 per hour upon full training

•  Sundays: £25.64 per hour, rising to £26.84 per hour upon full training

Key Responsibilities

•  Unloading and loading containers using a forklift truck

•  Transporting goods efficiently throughout the warehouse

•  Receiving, splitting down, and putting away stock

•  Order picking and packing using a scanner system (including accurate entry of locations, part numbers, and quantities)

•  Operating an electric banding machine to secure packages

•  Restacking pallets and assisting with general warehouse operations

•  Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping in line with hygiene schedules

Requirements

•  Counterbalance, Reach, Flexi, or PPT forklift truck experience is desirable but not essential

•  A keen eye for detail and strong commitment to accuracy

•  Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines

•  Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Full training will be provided for suitable candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. The client is prepared to invest in forklift training for individuals who show strong potential.
