About the Role
<p><strong>Park Ranger needed in Newport, £12.71ph </strong><strong>PAYE – Reference: OR108794</strong></p>
<p>All rangers, on a rota basis will be responsible for visiting playground areas & Leisure Provision on a daily basis and carry out Risk assessments / safety inspections to meet the requirement of the European Safety Standards EN1176.<br />To ensure the efficient operation and provision of all facilities within Newport Parks. </p>
<ul>
<li>To open and close the facilities as required</li>
<li>To maintain a high standard of security of all buildings and associated ancillary areas.</li>
<li>To liaise with facility users to ensure they gain maximum benefit from the use of the facilities.</li>
<li>To ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained at all times.</li>
<li>To ensure the good behaviour of members and visitors using the facilities.</li>
<li>To carry out basis gardening maintenance in the ornamental parks and open spaces</li>
<li>To prepare for and clean up after organised events.</li>
<li>To complete and record statutory testing in buildings</li>
<li>To open and close the splash park, and ensure all operational / maintenance tasks are completed in line with the risk assessment</li>
