<p>The Opportunity: A rapidly expanding logistics company is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager / Sales Manager to lead its sales efforts. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong client portfolio, a track record of exceeding revenue targets, and leadership skills to mentor and develop a team of four Business Development Managers (BDMs). With ambitious growth plans, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the company’s sales strategy.</p>
<p>Role Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for bringing in new business, nurturing existing client relationships, and providing guidance to the sales team. This dual role involves both hands-on business development and leadership, making it a perfect fit for a sales-driven professional eager to make a strategic impact.</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities:<br />
• Identify and secure new business opportunities, building a strong and sustainable client pipeline.<br />
• Leverage an existing portfolio of clients to drive revenue growth.<br />
• Manage and grow key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.<br />
• Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of four Business Development Managers, helping them to refine their sales strategies and meet targets.<br />
• Conduct face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and virtual presentations to engage prospective clients. • Work closely with internal teams to develop tailored logistics solutions for clients.<br />
• Stay informed about industry trends and company services to maintain a competitive edge.</p>
<p>Who Should Apply? The ideal candidate will have:<br />
• A portfolio of clients that would transition with them to a new provider.<br />
• A proven track record of exceeding sales targets, with an annual revenue portfolio exceeding £1.5 million.<br />
• Experience in managing or mentoring a sales team, with a passion for leadership and coaching.<br />
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.<br />
• Excellent decision-making abilities and the initiative to develop and implement business growth strategies.<br />
• Proficiency in IT systems, including CRM software and spreadsheets.<br />
• A proactive, adaptable approach suited to a fast-paced, ever-changing industry.</p>
