Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School – Market Harborough

About the role:

The successful candidate will work closely with students who require additional educational support, helping them build confidence, improve attainment and access the curriculum successfully. You will become an integral part of the school’s inclusion team, supporting students both academically and emotionally. This role is on a Long term supply basis starting in September 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Supporting students during lessons.

 

 

• Delivering targeted interventions.

 

 

• Assisting with literacy and numeracy programmes.

 

 

• Encouraging student engagement and participation.

 

 

• Supporting pupils with additional needs.

 

 

• Working collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff.

 

Pre-requisites:

 

• Experience working with young people.

 

 

• Excellent relationship-building skills.

 

 

• Positive and flexible approach.

 

 

• Strong communication skills.

 

 

• Enhanced DBS required.
