About the job Automation Project Manager - Data Centre Projects Are you an experienced Automation Project Manager looking to work on some of Europe's most technically challenging data centre projects? I'm working exclusively with one of Europe's leading industrial automation and controls specialists, who are continuing to expand their dedicated Critical Infrastructure & Data Centre division. This is an opportunity to take ownership of large-scale automation and controls projects across the UK, delivering advanced automation solutions within hyperscale, colocation and mission-critical facilities. Midlands Region Salary £70,000 - £100,000 Yearly Bonus Company Car/Car Allowance Private Healthcare Pension Private Healthcare Hybrid Working The Role You'll be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of multiple automation and controls projects, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget and to the highest technical standards. Working alongside highly experienced engineering teams, you'll oversee project planning, commercial management, procurement, design coordination, installation, testing, commissioning and client relationships throughout the project lifecycle. This is a home-based position with UK travel as projects require, offering flexibility alongside exposure to some of the industry's largest critical infrastructure developments. Responsibilities Managing multiple automation, controls and industrial automation projects. Delivering large-scale automation projects across the UK. Leading project programmes, budgets and commercial performance. Managing subcontractors, engineering teams and project resources. Coordinating design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning activities. Working closely with PLC, SCADA, electrical and controls engineering teams. Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders. Managing project risks, programme changes and commercial requirements. Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards. Desired Experience Experience delivering industrial automation, controls or automation engineering projects. Previous experience within Data Centres, Critical Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Process or other mission-critical environments. Strong commercial and project management experience. Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Excellent client-facing and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple complex technical projects simultaneously.
