Pay: $24-26/hour

Location: Leander, TX 78641

Hours: Monday - Friday; 8am - 5pm

Summary

Seeking a dedicated Lead Medical Assistant to join a dynamic healthcare team in Leander. This is a hands-on leadership position in which you will supervise a team of Medical Assistants, assisting with performance reviews, training, and scheduling. You will also work closely with physicians to provide efficient patient care, including triage, rooming patients, and managing patient communications.

The ideal candidate will have prior leadership experience as a medical assistant and a strong commitment to delivering excellent patient service. This role offers an opportunity to transition into a permanent position, providing growth and stability within the healthcare field.

Requirements

• Graduate of an MA program (preferred)
• 5+ years of medical assisting experience
• Prior experience leading Medical Assistants
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience with EMR systems

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Medical Assistance 
• Conduct phone triage and patient call-backs, including delivering lab results, follow-ups, and answering patient questions
• Room patients and take vitals
• Prepare patients for exams and assist physicians
• Manage electronic medical records (EMR) through accurate and timely data entry
• Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers, including forwarding patient questions to physicians or advanced practice providers
