About the Role

<p><strong>Job Title: Chartered Town Planner</strong></p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> <strong>Remote Working (Office in Lutterworth)</strong></p> <p><strong>About the Opportunity</strong></p> <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Town Planner to join a growing and commercially focused land and development business operating across the residential and mixed-use sectors.</p> <p>The business works across the full development lifecycle, from identifying and promoting strategic land opportunities through to securing planning permissions and supporting delivery. With a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture, this role offers the chance to work on high-quality projects while playing a key role in shaping development strategy.</p> <p>This is a remote working role; however, if you would prefer to work from an office environment, you are welcome to use the company&#8217;s office in Lutterworth.</p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>As a Chartered Town Planner, you will lead and support a range of planning projects across residential and mixed-use developments. You will work closely with land, development, and technical teams, providing planning expertise from site identification through to planning consent.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded planner looking to progress within a fast-paced development environment.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare, manage, and submit planning applications and pre-application enquiries</li> <li>Undertake site appraisals, planning assessments, and development feasibility reviews</li> <li>Provide strategic planning advice across land promotion and development opportunities</li> <li>Prepare planning statements, appeals, and supporting reports</li> <li>Liaise with local authorities, consultants, landowners, and external stakeholders</li> <li>Support the promotion of strategic land through the local plan process</li> <li>Attend client meetings, planning committees, and stakeholder consultations</li> <li>Monitor planning policy changes and advise on development implications</li> <li>Assist with mentoring junior planning team members where appropriate</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <ul> <li>MRTPI Chartered Town Planner</li> <li>Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline</li> <li>Strong understanding of the UK planning system and policy framework</li> <li>Experience within consultancy, developer, or local authority environments</li> <li>Commercial awareness with a strong interest in residential and mixed-use development</li> <li>Excellent report writing and communication skills</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively</li> <li>Proactive, organised, and able to work collaboratively within a team</li> </ul> <p><strong>What&#8217;s on Offer</strong></p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary DOE</li> <li>Fully remote working with optional office access in Lutterworth</li> <li>Exposure to high-profile residential and mixed-use schemes</li> <li>Clear career progression opportunities</li> <li>Supportive and collaborative team culture</li> <li>Opportunity to work within a dynamic and growing development business</li> </ul> <p><strong>If you are interested in this opportunity, contact Joel Bland on 01792 365006 or email on joel.bland@penguinrecruitment.co.uk</strong></p> <p><img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/Sm9lbEJsYW5kLjQyMDQ4LjExMzA5QHBlbmd1aW5yZWNydWl0bWVudC5hcGxpdHJhay5jb20.gif"></p>
