About the Role
If your internet feels slow or unstable, there’s a real chance someone else is using your Wi-Fi without permission.
Every unknown device connected to your network shares your bandwidth — and potentially exposes your data.
Check Who’s Connected (30 Seconds)
- Press Windows + R, type cmd, press Enter
- Type arp -a and press Enter
- Look at the list of connected IP addresses
Each entry represents a device currently or recently connected to your network.
Identify Unknown IP Addresses (Quick)
- Look for your router IP (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) – that’s the normal IP addresses – unless you changed the IP address to access your router.
- Your main device will usually match your current IP range
- Open Command Prompt and type ipconfig to see your own IP
- Match known devices (phones, TVs, laptops) by turning Wi-Fi off/on and watching entries appear/disappear
- Unknown or persistent IPs that don’t match your devices may be unauthorized
Better Way (Router Dashboard)
- Open a browser and go to 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1
- Log into your router
- Find Connected Devices or Device List
You’ll see every device using your Wi-Fi — including phones, laptops, TVs, and anything suspicious.
If You See Unknown Devices
- Change your Wi-Fi password immediately
- Reconnect only your trusted devices
- Disable WPS if it’s enabled
Why It Matters
- Unauthorized users slow your connection
- Unknown devices can monitor network activity
- Weak networks are easier to exploit
If you don’t control your network, someone else might be.

Combined with subscription-free security, a built-in VPN, and parental controls, it turns your home network into something you actually control.
Backed by a 4.4/5-star rating from 2,300+ reviews and 2,000+ bought in the past month, it’s a proven upgrade for both security and performance.
