We’re looking for an experienced Senior Magento Developer with strong React.js skills to join a growing, forward-thinking development team within the healthcare industry. The organisation builds modern, secure, and user-focused e-commerce platforms, delivering high-quality digital solutions that support a wide range of users and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Magento Development

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Magento 2 e-commerce solutions

• Create custom modules, themes, and extensions

• Optimise Magento installations for performance, scalability, and security

• Integrate third-party APIs and payment gateways

• Implement advanced e-commerce features including multi-store setups, custom checkout flows, and inventory management

• Ensure compliance with Magento best practices and coding standards

Frontend Development

• Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using React.js

• Build reusable React components for consistent user experiences

• Integrate React applications with Magento backend APIs

• Implement state management solutions

• Optimise frontend performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility

Technical Leadership

• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance

• Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards

  
  Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver pixel-perfect implementations

• Participate in architectural decisions and technical planning

  
  Stay current with developments in Magento and React.js

• Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and code quality

Project Management

• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to deliver projects on time

• Provide accurate estimates for development tasks

• Document technical solutions and maintain project documentation

  
  Participate in agile development practices

Essential Requirements:

• 5+ years of Magento development experience (Magento 2 preferred)

• 3+ years of React.js development experience

• Strong PHP (OOP) programming skills

  
  Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS

• Experience with MySQL database design and optimisation

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and GraphQL

• Familiarity with version control systems

• Strong understanding of responsive design

• Experience with build tools

• AWS cloud services experience with deployment pipelines

• Vercel deployment and hosting experience

• Understanding of pharmaceutical industry compliance (desirable)

• Deep understanding of Magento architecture and MVC patterns

  
  Experience with Magento CLI, deployment processes, and caching strategies
  Knowledge of Magento admin customisation

• Understanding of Magento security best practices

  
  Experience with Magento performance optimisation techniques

• Strong understanding of React.js fundamentals and hooks

• Experience with state management libraries (Redux, MobX, Context API)

• Knowledge of React testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library)

• Familiarity with Next.js or similar frameworks

• Understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript

Desirable Requirements

• Magento certification

• Experience with headless e-commerce architectures

  
  Experience with AI development tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes

  
  Understanding of CI/CD pipelines

• Healthcare/pharmaceutical industry experience

• Knowledge of other e-commerce platforms

• Experience with mobile app development (React Native)

• Understanding of regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, MHRA)
