About the Role
<p>Mydas Recruitment are experts in the sourcing and supply of Manufacturing Engineers to leading organisations.</p>
<p>Our client, a multinational manufacturing organisation, based in Bangor, who work in the manufacturing, precision engineering & aerospace sector.</p>
<p>They have a requirement for graduate engineer to work with their manufacturing teams and ensure that products are delivered to meet costs, quality & schedule.</p>
<p>Candidates should have knowledge of and/or some (placement experience) of manufacturing processes & practices, design, CNC operation. etc Other training skills will be provided</p>
<p>Candidates should have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline.</p>

<p><strong><em>Role & duties</em></strong></p>
<p>• Role will be based in the Technical Office working under the supervision of the Engineering Director</p>
<p>• It will involve interpretation & evaluation of customer supplied drawings, CAD models and Bills of Materials to assist with industrialisation/costing of projects</p>
<p>• Creation/revision and testing of Numerical Control (NC) programs using AlphaCAM Advanced Router software to program 3-axis CNC router machines</p>
<p>• Continual optimisation of existing CNC programs, tooling and nesting/cutting layouts to reduce machining time and improve production quality</p>
<p>• Maintaining the Engineering Drawing Library and participating in the internal Engineering Update (ECN) process</p>
<p>• Creation of GD&T/’vendor-controlled’ drawings • Project Management – it is envisaged that the Graduate Engineer will have day-to-day management responsibility for a number of R&D projects from start to finish (e.g., investigating new production methods/tooling etc. or improving shop-floor production methods). This may include direct instruction & supervision of shop-floor employees</p>
<p>• Assisting the Engineering Director in maintaining the company IT network and ERP system deployment activities</p>
<p>• Assisting in the accurate completion of aerospace traceability & airworthiness paperwork including First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and other related ‘Quality’ activities.</p>
<p>• Use of Hexagon Absolute portable measuring arm for dimensional analysis/measurement reporting of manufactured parts (full training will be provided)</p>
