Work From Abroad – Amir’s Month in Madrid At Keylane, we believe that personal development flourishes when people have the freedom to shape their own workstyle. One of the ways we support this is through Keylane’s Work From Abroad policy. This policy allows colleagues to perform their roles from another country. This can be twice a year, up to 30 days per trip. He used the programme to immerse himself in the Spanish culture and enjoy a new environment. This left Amir afterwards with more clarity and energy than expected. Discovering Madrid Like a Local Amir had always been curious about Madrid’s atmosphere, food, and lively streets. Thus, the Work From Abroad policy gave him the chance to experience the city in a meaningful way; an experience beyond that of a tourist. He describes this month as a series of discoveries. Between his daily tasks; he wandered through historic neighbourhoods, tried local dishes and settled into the rhythm of Madrid. Working from a new environment encouraged him to break routines and stay inspired. After four weeks away, I felt as if I’d taken a long holiday. I came back with fresh energy and a clear head, which made me ready to start new projects. Returning Refreshed and Recharged What surprised Amir most was the impact this experience had on him and his headspace. Despite working full-time while abroad, he returned to the office with renewed motivation. Amir’s description of his experience highlights why colleagues choose to use our Work From Abroad policy .
