The Opportunity

A leading construction consultancy is launching a new Building Consultancy division and is seeking a senior building surveyor to lead it. This is a rare chance to establish and grow a business function within an established, successful practice.

Some building surveying work is already coming into the business, providing a base to build from. However, the incoming leader will be expected to set the direction, grow the client base, and recruit a team to deliver high-quality services across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a new Building Consultancy department
• Define the service offering and set a clear strategy
• Deliver professional building surveying services at a senior level
• Develop new business and expand client relationships
• Recruit, mentor and manage a team

About You

• Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS)
• Senior experience (Associate Director, Director or Partner)
• Proven business development and fee generation skills
• Leadership and people management experience
• Commercially minded and entrepreneurial
