About the Role
Location: Dodson Medical Office Building Department: Cardiology-Echo Lab Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: Performs complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Ultrasound procedures include: Transthoracic echocardiography ultrasound on neonatal, pediatric and adult patients. Transesophageal echocardiography ultrasound on neonatal, pediatric and adult patients. These responsibilities will take place in various locations and different settings that include inpatient, outpatient, and outreach clinic settings. On call responsibilities will take place nights, weekends and holidays. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 hours days, varying start times 7:30-4, 8:00 am-4:30 pm or 8:30-5:00 pm. Education & Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of a cardiac ultrasound program, preferred. Experienced as an echocardiographer, preferred. 1 year of pediatric experience, preferred. Certification/Licensure: Credentialed as a Registered Sonographer (RDC) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCSC) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), must be obtained within 2 years of hire date OR Certified as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), preferred.
