About the Role
<p><b>Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO)</b></p>
<p><b>On-site | Philadelphia, PA</b></p>
<p>Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a well-capitalized, growth-oriented financial institution in the Philadelphia market to identify an <b>Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO)</b>. This is a <b>full-time, on-site engagement (5 days/week)</b> expected to last <b>approximately 2–3 months</b> while a permanent search is conducted.</p>
<p>This organization has experienced significant asset growth over the past several years and is positioned for continued expansion. The Interim CFO will step into a stable, well-run finance function and serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership during this transition period.</p>
<p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul type="disc">
<li>Oversee all finance and accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and audit coordination</li>
<li>Monitor the organization’s financial health, liquidity, and interest rate risk</li>
<li>Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and analysis to executive leadership and the Board</li>
<li>Ensure timely and accurate regulatory and financial reporting in compliance with state and federal banking requirements</li>
<li>Review financial statements, projections, and budget-to-actual results; provide insights and recommendations as needed</li>
<li>Variance analyses, liquidity ratio monitoring, and dashboard reviews</li>
<li>Partner with senior leadership on financial planning, cost controls, and strategic initiatives</li>
<li>Oversee investment portfolio analysis and reporting</li>
<li>Provide leadership and guidance to an established finance and accounting team</li>
<li>Ensure strong internal controls, audit readiness, and adherence to regulatory standards</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Team Structure</b></p>

<li>Direct oversight of two experienced finance professionals who manage day-to-day accounting and reporting functions</li>
<li>Finance operations are well automated, stable, and running smoothly</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Qualifications</b></p>
<ul type="disc">
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)</li>
<li>CPA required</li>
<li>Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, and financial leadership</li>
<li>Must have strong CFO level knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and financial reporting requirements</li>
<li>Experienced with bank reporting and reviews involving ALCO, FHLB Advances, QCR reporting, CLA audit</li>
<li>Proven ability to operate effectively in a senior executive, hands-on leadership role</li>
<li>Excellent communication, judgment, and stakeholder management skills</li>
