Junior IT Systems AdministratorSalary: £40,000 - £50,000
Location: City of London | Office-Based

The ComapnyA small, highly technical team of researchers and software developers working at the intersection of technology, data, and financial markets. Their work is evidence-driven, highly automated, and focused on building robust in-house tools that support trading and research activities across multiple markets.
Due to consistent growth, they are looking to hire a well-organised and motivated Junior IT Systems Administrator to join the IT function and grow with the business.
The RoleAs part of a small IT team, you will play a hands-on role in maintaining and developing the infrastructure. Responsibilities include:
Maintaining on-site and off-site server infrastructure
Monitoring and supporting in-house software applications
Managing Microsoft Windows environments
Administering Active Directory and Group Policy
Managing storage systems (NAS, iSCSI)
You will gradually take on more responsibility as you demonstrate reliability, technical ability, and an understanding of the wider system landscape. You should be comfortable learning new technologies quickly and adapting in a fast-moving environment.
Skills & ExperienceSystem administration in a Microsoft Active Directory environment
Networking fundamentals (experience with Juniper equipment is a plus)
Working knowledge of SQL, scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell), HTML, and web technologies
Exposure to Hyper-V virtualisation
Solid hardware experience, including building or maintaining custom machines
Some programming experience is desirable
