SEN Learning Support Assistant – Wellingborough

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming specialist provision in Wellingborough. This full-time role begins in September 2026 and is expected to continue until July 2027, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract. You will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally within a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom-based support to pupils with SEN
• Deliver targeted interventions under the direction of teaching staff
• Support communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
• Encourage independence and positive engagement with learning
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and achievements

Pre-requisites:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
• A caring and patient approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
• Two references within the last two years from a related field
